2020 toyota tundra vs tacoma trim comparison specs features

If you’re trying to find a truck that has the famous Japanese reliability there’s truly only one manufacturer to choose, Toyota. We proudly have two pickup trucks for the discerning consumer. We have the mid-size Tacoma and the full-size Tundra. While both use most of the exact same options, the primary difference between both pickups is their dimensions and the engine. So, which will work best for you, the 2020 Toyota Tundra 1794 Edition, or the 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro? Only you can truly make that decision, but let us look at why both are such well-respected trucks.

Design Highlights

Both of these pickups feature LED lights but that’s one of the few similarities they share. The brand-new Tundra 1794 is a deluxe cruiser while the brand-new Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro is even more of an off-road warrior. The Tundra features 20-inch wheels, a 5.5-ft bed, an easy lower and lift tailgate, and power-folding outside mirrors. The Tacoma includes 16-inch TRD Pro alloy wheels, power sliding rear window, TRD Pro front skid plate, and a power moonroof. The insides of these trucks both include power-adjustable natural leather front seating, automatic heat/AC control, and an 8-inch touchscreen stereo w/ navigation.

Engine, Powertrain & Performance

Let’s start with the brand-new Tacoma TRD Pro, it is powered by a 3.5L V6 that creates an outstanding 278hp and 265 lb-ft of torque. The bigger pickup, the 2020 Tundra 1794 Edition, has the 5.7L Aluminum i-FORCE V8 that generates 381hp and 401 lb-ft. of torque. The Tundra has only one transmission, a 6-speed auto. The Tacoma offers you the option of choosing a 6-speed standard transmission or a 6-speed auto transmission. The Tacoma offers Four-Wheel Drive while the 1794 Edition of the Tundra comes in Rear-Wheel Drive.

Top Tech Highlights

These very capable pickups are likewise outfitted with impressive tech. Push-button start, USB inputs, and Bluetooth are offered on both trucks. Additionally available on both pickup trucks is the very impressive Toyota Safety Sense suite. This collection of safety and security features consists of a Pre-Collision System (with Pedestrian Detection), Lane Departure Alert, Automatic High Beams, and also Dynamic Radar Cruise Control. Various other available safety features are parking assist sonar, Blind Spot Monitor (w/ Rear Cross Traffic Alert), and Trailer-Sway Control. Both the 2020 Tundra 1794 Edition and the 2020 Tacoma TRD Pro have remarkable performance and tech to satisfy whatever you might require.

Overall a positive experience. Great service. THe only thing I wish is that Toyota left the Tacoma as a mid size Truck . it is now a full size truck.
