The Toyota Tundra has up to 12,000lbs of towing capacity. What’s the difference between competing trucks and the Toyota Tundra? Power. The Tundra doesn’t fail to shine and supplies the horsepower to crush any challenges in front of the truck. Each trim level might not hit the 12,000 pounds towing capacity shown earlier, but the lowest amount of towing capacity is still an impressive 8,300 pounds in the SR trim level.

The Tundra horsepower is 348hp. You may select from only two unique powertrains on the Toyota Tundra, the base 348 horsepower 3.5L Twin-Turbo V6 or the 3.5L V6 Hybrid 437hp engine. The standard 3.5L V6 engine gets a horsepower increase up to 389 HP if you select the SR5, Limited, 1794 Edition, and Platinum models.
The Tundra has between a 5,095-6,185 pound curb weight. The list of available build options for the Tundra is quite large, so your ideal Toyota Tundra has never been easier to design. When reviewing the seven different models, you’ll notice that most of those models offer several drivetrains and cab sizes. You can easily spot why there’s a large range in the curb weight numbers.
The Tundra has 8.5-9.4 inches of ground clearance. Many of the models have a specific clearance, but they all still measure around 9 inches. The SR5 and SR’s ground clearance measures 9.3in. The Tundra Limited, Platinum, and the 1794 Edition trims produce an 8.5 to 9.4in ground clearance range.
